Hello. My name’s Nick Leech and I’m a feature writer and syndicated columnist who specialises in stories about art, history and culture, especially if they relate to the Middle East.

After studying the history of design at Sheffield Hallam University and the Royal College of Art in London, I lectured at various UK-based universities for several years before embarking on a career as a landscape architect.

In 2010 I stopped designing, started writing and then, for almost a decade, worked as a feature writer, columnist and visual arts correspondent for The National, the UAE’s daily English language newspaper. It was during this period that I also became The National’s special correspondent for the Louvre Abu Dhabi and between 2012 and 2017 I wrote about all aspects of the new museum’s design, construction, curation and development.

In 2018 I returned to the UK where I now work as a freelance journalist, feature writer, researcher and editor.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my website.
