My name is Nick Leech. After studying the history of design at Sheffield Hallam University and the Royal College of Art in London, I lectured at various UK-based universities for several years before embarking on a career as a landscape architect.
In 2010 I stopped designing and started writing and then, for almost a decade, I worked as a feature writer, columnist and visual arts correspondent for The National, the UAE’s daily English language newspaper. It was during this period that I also became The National’s special correspondent for the Louvre Abu Dhabi and between 2012 and 2017 I wrote about all aspects of the new museum’s design, construction, curation and development.
In 2018 I returned to the UK where I now work as a freelance journalist, feature writer, researcher and editor.
